REMEMBERING SEPTEMBER 11
On behalf of the District Lodge Officers of AHEPA Empire State District 6, we pause to honor the innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001, the courage of our first responders, and the families who continue to carry their loss.
The presence of AHEPA Freedom Chapter 42 at Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and National Shrine at the World Trade Center carries profound significance for our entire Order.
This is more than a chapter home—it is a sacred responsibility.
On this holy ground, forever marked by tragedy and sacrifice, Saint Nicholas has risen again as a beacon of faith, hope, healing, and renewal. Here, AHEPA stands as a living testament to the strength of our Greek Orthodox faith, our Hellenic heritage, and our unwavering love for the United States of America.
Freedom Chapter 42 represents the principles upon which AHEPA was founded: faith, service, civic responsibility, brotherhood, and freedom. May we always remain worthy of this sacred ground and ensure that future generations never forget.
We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
